Social Nest Foundation opens new offices in Madrid and appoints Marta del Castillo as CEO

· Social Nest Foundation, the global platform for entrepreneurs and impact investors created in 2010 in Valencia, is expanding to new offices in Madrid in order to boost growth and identify new opportunities for generating impact.

· Marta del Castillo will be Social Nest Foundation's new CEO after her extensive experience leading high-impact and innovative organizations. Its founder, Margarita Albors, will move into the role of executive president.

· The platform has also brought onboard Samir Selim as Head of Impact Investing; María Cano, as Head of Entrepreneurship, and Juan Francisco Reyes, as the new Head of Business and Partnership Development.

Madrid, October 5, 2022. - Social Nest Foundation, the global platform originating in Valencia for entrepreneurs and impact investors, is opening new offices in Madrid to boost business and identify new opportunities for generating impact.

The foundation is coming to Madrid after 12 years leading programs and activities that have involved over 15,000 people. The platform currently has a community of 300 entrepreneurs, 500 investors and 50 companies. This opening converges with the capital city's position as the main hub of entrepreneurship in Spain and one of the most important in Europe.

In addition to opening these offices in Madrid, Social Nest Foundation has appointed Marta del Castillo as the platform's new CEO, where she will be in charge of promoting and consolidating the organization's strategies.

Marta del Castillo joins the foundation after extensive experience leading high-impact and innovative organizations. In Spain, she has recently served as CEO of South Summit, while at international level she has been CEO of Koga, the first B Corp in Paraguay and founder of the B movement in this country.

The new CEO of Social Nest Foundation, Marta del Castillo, said that the foundation "is a leading company in the sector and constantly evolving. We face the challenge ahead of growing Social Nest Foundation even further with the opening of new offices in Madrid, from where we seek to continue projecting the organization globally and lead the drive to finding solutions to the increasingly pressing challenges facing society at large, from climate change to social, economic and technological inequalities".

Margarita Albors, the founder of Social Nest Foundation, will take on the role of executive president exclusively and will step down as CEO, a position she has also held up to now. Albors will focus her efforts on representing the platform and its institutional visibility, as well as defining, alongside the board of trustees and management team, the strategies for further growing Social Nest.

In addition to Marta del Castillo, Samir Selim is also joining the foundation as the new Head of Impact, having previously served as Vice President of PKB Privatbank. Additionally, María Cano, the founder of Canussa, will take on the role of Head of Entrepreneurship at Social Nest, and Juan Francisco Reyes will become Head of Business and Partnership Development, after his time at SURA Investment Management.

In addition Mónica Vásquez del Solar and Krloos Rivera will take on new responsibilities at the platform. The former will become the new Head of Strategy and Impact, and Rivera, Executive, Global Growth & Ecosystem.
