Why are we still here, and what for?
There is a question we ask ourselves every year when we start building The Gap in Between:
Why are we still here, and what for?
It is not a rhetorical question.
It is a way of forcing ourselves to review whether what we are building still makes sense in the current context.
Because the ecosystem has evolved. There are more actors, more capital, more solutions than there were a few years ago.
And yet, there is something that remains relevant to solve: how to make all of that align so that the decisions and collaborations needed to close the “gaps” actually happen.
How to move from interesting conversations to conversations that move forward.
How to connect those who are developing solutions with those who can finance or implement them.
How to reduce the distance between intention and action.
That in-between space is where we work. And it is also the hardest thing to design because it does not depend only on content, the number of attendees, or visibility.
It depends on something more complex: the context, the intention, and the people who are “in the room”.
That is why we dedicate so much time to how we design and build The Gap in Between.
Who we invite.
Which profiles make sense in each conversation.
How we make sure interactions do not remain spontaneous and superficial.
We are not looking for many things to happen. We are looking to create a space where people truly connect.
The Gap in Between does not exist only for people to learn or leave inspired.
It exists to better understand the moment, to test ideas with others who are operating in complex contexts, and to move forward together.
So that business, investment and impact stop moving in parallel and start coming together. With more intention, closeness and collaboration.
For all of this, we are creating a new edition.
Ticket sales are now open. Not as a one-off announcement, but as an invitation to decide now whether you want to be part of this space.
The event is already being built.
We are speaking with people who can bring innovative perspectives as speakers.
Exploring partnerships with organisations that are driving transformation and want to get involved beyond visibility.
And connecting with startups that are at the point where they want to scale and need access to capital, corporates and support.
All of this happens before the event. And, in many cases, this is where the real value begins.
This newsletter was created to open up that process. To share what we are seeing, what we are learning and how this space is being built from within.
If you are working in innovation, investment or impact, this conversation probably speaks to you too.
And perhaps it makes sense for you to be part of it. I encourage you to do so.
